Spelling Bay
Congratulations to Bailey for winning the 2012 Rose Union Elementary School Spelling Bee! To qualify for this competition, five students from each of the four 4th grade classes were selected based on class-wide spelling tests. These 20 finalists then competed against each other in the spelling bee, which had some very challenging words.
The competition lasted 15 rounds until Bailey was the last one standing. His final word to win the competition was “convention”. All of his classmates were really excited to congratulate him. We’re not sure if Washington, DC will be calling, but he’s ready!
