Smarty pants
Courtney recently received two honors at the Deer Creek Schools Foundation awards ceremony. She received the DCFA award for maintaining straight A’s for the past year and also the Oklahoma Honor Society award for ranking in the top 10% of her class.

The Land Run is on!
(Bailey, Tony, Camden, Bam, and Jake)
It’s a tradition each Spring in Oklahoma elementary schools to celebrate the Land Run of 1889. This year was no exception, and Bailey and his 4th grade took part. Once the boom sounded (or in this case, the whistle blew), everyone was off to stake their claim of free land.

My bell curve kite day
Bailey & I had a weekend of “guy time” together- just the two of us. So we decided to enjoy the outdoors and see if we could get a kite up in the air. We had all the right ingredients- a bright sunny day, lots of room to run, Oklahoma in the Spring (read “windy”!), and oh yeah, a couple of kites.
